We offer a variety
of weekend classes!

From the super simple to the more complex and challenging, we are sure there's a class for everyone!

To enroll in a class, please call us at (518) 774-0475 or stop by the store. Enrollment is limited to six participants per class, so make sure to reserve your space now! Payment is due when class space is reserved.
  • Supply lists are available at the shop. We offer kits for most of our classes.
  • Most classes require participants to bring their own sewing machines. If you do not have one, you can rent one of ours for a $5 fee.

FOR ALL CLASSES: Please bring your sewing machine in good working order, several wound bobbins, neutral-colored thread, a spare sewing machine needle, scissors and seam ripper. If you are not familiar with the operation of your sewing machine, please also bring your owners manual.

CLASS ETIQUETTE:
Please arrive about 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, so that you can settle in and be ready for class to begin on time. Please refrain from wearing fragrances if possible, as a courtesy to other participants who may be chemically sensitive.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Enrollment is limited to six people per class, allowing for more individualized instruction. Please be aware that unless otherwise specified, class time will be devoted to covering key parts of the project. Participants may need to finish their projects on their own at a later time. If you would like additional instruction after the class has concluded, please ask.

PRE-CLASS HELP SESSIONS:
For most classes, we have scheduled a one-hour "help" session from 4-5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the class. These are a great way to get a little hands-on assistance before the class. Fee: $5.

Mini Dresden Plate
Saturday, May 30, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
This one is a little more challenging! We will make at least one block in class, and you will learn enough to finish this adorable table topper or wall hanging on your own. (We will cover scalloped borders in a later class.) Led by Jennie Kerwood. Class fee is $35. Pattern, materials and supplies are additional. Kits available.

Moon Lake
Saturday, June 13, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Sue Pritt just keeps coming up with gorgeous scenic designs! Participants can make either Moon Lake or Snowy River. There is a fair amount of advance work that needs to be done before class, so we encourage you to choose your pattern and fabrics soon so you can get started.
Led by pattern author Sue Pritt. Class fee is $35. Pattern, materials and supplies are additional. Kits available.

Blueberry Hill

Saturday, June 20, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

This modern quilt uses one jelly roll (or 40 coordinating 2 1/2-inch strips of fabric) to make a stunning lap quilt. (You can also add an optional border.) This is a fun class for beginners.
Led by Nancy Basile. Class fee is $35. Pattern, materials and supplies are additional. Jelly rolls available, or we can help you kit it out of yardage.
